Frequently Asked Questions
What is Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy?
Humanistic and Integrative Therapy combines different therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. It focuses on your lived experience, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth, helping you understand yourself more deeply and move towards meaningful change.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and how I might support you. There’s no pressure, and you don’t need to prepare anything in advance.
How many sessions will I need?
There’s no fixed number as it really depends on your needs and goals. Some people come for a short period, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in together to make sure the pace feels right for you.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
People come to therapy for many reasons, stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck. If you’re struggling or want to better understand yourself, therapy can offer a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on.
What happens in a therapy session?
Each session is a space for you to explore whatever feels important at your own pace. I’ll listen, reflect, and help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
How long is a session?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. This gives us enough time to settle in, explore what’s going on for you, and wrap up in a grounded way before you head back into your day.
