Hi, I’m Janet.
I am an IAHIP Board Member & Accredited Psychotherapist working in private practice in Dublin city centre.
I support adults who may appear capable and high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or the pressure to hold everything together. I have particular experience working with women, trans women, LGBTQIA+ clients, and neurodivergent adults, while also welcoming men seeking support in a warm, non-judgmental space.
Many of the people I work with experience chronic overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or the exhaustion of masking, particularly neurodivergent adults navigating ADHD, autism, or a late diagnosis. I offer a space where you can slow down, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and begin to relate to yourself with more understanding and ease.
I have a particular interest in women’s mental health, including hormonal transitions, reproductive experiences (including post-abortion support), workplace stress, and identity shifts across different life stages.
Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I worked in HR and Office Management, mentoring early-career professionals. This gives me a grounded understanding of organisational dynamics, career transitions, burnout, and the realities of managing mental health within professional environments.
My approach is humanistic and integrative, and I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space. I am neurodivergent-affirming, gender-affirming, and LGBTQ+-affirming in my practice.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and am currently undertaking specialist training in treating OCD using CBT and ERP, supporting clients experiencing intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and anxiety-related difficulties.
